Sandi Hamilton, MS, RD, LDN
Sandi Hamilton is a native of the mountains of North Carolina. In 1989, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Appalachian State University. Upon graduation, she worked as a spa nutritionist for several years before returning to school to pursue a Master of Science degree. In 1996, she received a MS in Nutrition from Hunter College in New York City.
Sandi completed her clinical training at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in New York, where she then practiced clinical dietetics for several years. While in New York, Sandi also studied gourmet cooking at a professional cooking school. Upon returning to North Carolina, Sandi joined Novant Health WomanCare and has been part of the staff since 1996. Sandi is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Dietitics and registered by the American Dietetic Association.
Sandi's professional interests include adolescent health, eating disorders, weight management, diabetes and maternal nutrition. She also has special interests in food ecology, vegetarian nutrition, cooking, kitchen gardening and physical fitness.
In her leisure time, Sandi enjoys spending time with her family, travel, yoga, photography, music and film.
